Hi, I'm Pennie. I'm passionate about being close to God and about creativity. This website is meant to be an invitation into the depths of those things. Through my art journey I've found the Lord to be extremely playful and infinitely profound. He never ceases to amaze me with how He can say something so meaningful in such a simple way. The art we create with Him provides a glimpse into His brilliant, pure, vastly powerful and loving nature. I consider it an incredible honor and delight to be an artist partnering with Holy Spirit to create opportunities for you to draw deep from Him.

How i got here

When I was a girl I loved art, I loved the Lord and I loved being outdoors. Yet, as I grew, my innate desire to please people caused me to stifle my natural creative bent in order to fit in. By the time I was an adult, most of my genuine love for art had been replaced with confining performance. Finally, in 2013, after a traumatic and exhausting season in my life, I felt the Lord invite me to "creatively explore with Him." Slowly, I began to discover that art is so much more than a performance. It is a powerful tool to open our hearts wide to THE Creator. I have personally experienced healing, deliverance, mindset-shifts and awakened perspective because of encountering Him through creativity. I want you to experience the same thing. Of course He is intimately personal with each one of us and so creative in the way He uniquely draws us near. I invite you to join me as we 'creatively explore with Him!"

Lifestyle & inspiration

I'm the mother of five amazing kids - Three grown/nearly grown sons and two little twin daughters. My husband John and I aim to live "away" on our mountain property in Colorado (like Heidi from the beloved children's book) and spend our days loving the Lord and loving our family well. 

I come alive in warm mountain sunlight and in the sweet presence of God. It is out of those things that I hope my art will overflow.
